World Kindness Day, a day when every human being shows kindness & acts for the other. The purpose of World Kindness Day is to look beyond ourselves, beyond the boundaries of our country, beyond our culture, our race, our religion; and realise we are citizens of the world. As world citizens we have a commonality, and must realise that if progress is to be made in human relations and endeavours the only thing that helps is kindness, when we find likenesses with someone, we begin to experience kindness.

If you look around or while moving around the city, you are bound to come across poor & hungry children, pleading for food. Why not show some kindness to them & feed them. The Fun of Triple Celebration
Thursday, October 15th, 2009Be prepared to celebrate for three back to back days. It’s Diwali on Oct. 17, Goverdhan Puja on Oct. 18 & Bhai Dooj on Oct. 19. Brighten your life with the festival of lights, followed by the blessings of Lord Krishna & strengthen your brother-sister relationship, this can not be any better folks!
Celebrations start off with Diwali, the biggest festival of Hindus across the country & globe. This day, Hindu homes worship Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, and Ganesh, the God of auspicious beginnings, and then light lamps all across the streets and homes to welcome prosperity and well being.
The very next day is Goverdhan Puja. This day Goverdhan Mountain near Mathura, which was lifted by Shri Krishna to save the people of Braj from heavy rains and flood, is worshipped. Devotees offer different types of food on the day to Lord Krishna and this large amount of food forms a mountain. The following day is the festival of Bhai Dooj. On this day, brothers and sisters meet to express their love and affection for each other. On this day a sister prays for the well-being and prosperity of her brother and puts a Tilak on his forehead. The brother in turn promises to protect his sister at all times and also presents his sister with gifts.
